DESIGN HOTEL MIRAMONTE, Bad Gastein

Design Hotel Miramonte has 36 retro-chic rooms designed by Ike Ikrath. Options range from the Small Budget Room (with Grand Lit in Swiss pine and morning sun) to Panorama rooms. Panorama S rooms have Swiss stone pine beds and balconies. Panorama M rooms add a desk and sitting area. Panorama L rooms are corner units with sofas. Family rooms with Swiss pine beds accommodate up to four guests. All rooms include double beds, blankets, vintage bathrooms, bathrobes, Valentina & Philippa toiletries, wardrobes, desks, TVs, phones, sauna access, lounge access, library access, design reading material, Wi-Fi, late riser breakfast, and ski lift shuttle.

Miramonte's food utilizes light, region-inspired ingredients seasoned with herbs and spices. The restaurant serves light and innovative Slow Food cuisine in the evening. Four-course dinners include marinated and smoked Bad Gastein trout with horseradish, carrot-ginger soup, and hake with barley risotto served at a communal table. A breakfast buffet with local fruit, Alpine cheese, bread, homemade preserves, organic eggs, and green herbal juice is served in the dining room, with a breakfast for late risers also available.
